Services
The services we offer incorporate the essentials of both health maintenance & disease prevention (all services are available in our office and many are available in the location of your convenience) including but not limited to:
- Comprehensive medical history and physical examination
- Complete blood count (CBC)
- Comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) to study electrolytes
- Kidney and liver functions
- Measuring glucose for diabetes
- Cholesterol screening (lipid profile)
- Urinalysis
- Allergy testing, evaluation, and treatment
- Asthma testing, evaluation, and treatment
- Confidential blood test for the AIDS virus (HIV) and Hepatitis A, B and C
- Thyroid test (TSH)
- Imaging tests, including chest X-ray, mammogram, osteoporosis screening with a DEXA scan
- Immunizations, including flu shot, diphtheria and tetanus (DT), polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), Shingles vaccine and Tuberculosis skin test (PPD)
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) and stress echocardiography for evaluation of heart function
- Carotid ultrasound to assess blockage in the neck vessels
- Holter Monitoring to evaluate palpitations
- Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) to rule out White Coat Hypertension and to help in the management of hypertension.

For home care patients we do not treat chest pain, shortness of breath, head trauma, an acute stroke or loss of consciousness; these may indicate very serious conditions and you should go directly to an Emergency Room or call 911.
The scope of our work:
The general internist provides continuing, comprehensive care for common illnesses such as colds, sore throats, allergies, back pain, sinus infections, bronchitis, flu, and urinary tract infections.
The internist is also trained to handle more complex problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, thyroid disease, asthma, atherosclerosis, and arthritis.
Internists are trained to provide gynecological care as well. Our general internists are Board Certified primary care physicians who will see you for routine care, preventive health care services, and periodic health care checkups.
The next time you see the doctor, you might not spend an hour in a waiting room, reading old magazines or be examined in a cold, exam room. You might not do any of these things, because the next time you see the doctor, you might see him or her at your own home. The once common but now rare house call is making a comeback!
